Answer clearly and honestly, using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your responses. Its fine to stumble or take time to think however have examples already made up or thought of prior to your assessment will make you be more confident and show the assessor your confidence and professionalism.


A tip I give applicants during mentoring and coaching sessions is to list out some examples and dot point in the STAR/SAR format. Some examples can cover mulitple skills and topics like leadership, customer service, team work and communication. I think its best to have 5 examples which can all be used in various questions if asked.
